While in Seattle, I took a short jaunt up to the old stomping grounds of Esquimalt. Hung out with Mel and Danielle. Just like old times. Here’s some photos.

Just to prove I was there

The Tudor House

Back in the YWAM days, we lived right in the middle of the ghetto surrounded by no more than 4 liquor vendors, the most prominent being the Tudor House who called to us late at night with bright lights and corny catch phrases on the sign. We were never allowed to go because we might have gotten led astray by the alcohol and the alcoholics. Thus I have never been there. And don’t worry I only took a photo of the outside for all the throwbacks from the YWAM days.

The Happy Couple

Meet Big Tom and Terri Baby. Today is their 35th wedding anniversary. Now how’s that for a good run?

Tom and Terri bonded 35 years ago over a McDonalds hamburger. Tom refused to feed Terri on their first date and for reasons unknown to just about everyone, that worked for her. The heart cannot choose who it loves. Terri in turn bought Tom his first dirt bike, never made him wait in line and didn’t complain about McDonalds which apparently was enough to win his heart. Now they drive across the country to visit their many children, work side by side fixing houses and go to Dunkin Donuts, a lot. Apparently, it’s working. Their greatest accomplishment together would be me, their daughter and “author” of this site.

I’ve been meaning to post up photos of this rather eventful summer and finally got around to going through them. In attempts to not overwelm you, I will put a few up every couple days. But here’s the first batch from “Week O’ Wedding!”, part two of “Year O’ Weddings and Major Life Changes!” (Side note: no one I know is ever allowed to get married again. Ever. Or least don’t ask me to attend or be in the wedding.)

First…the blushing bride herself.

The Dicksons

While in Seattle, I was able to spend more time with Angie, Bethany’s best friend and her family. They are wonderful people and were a part of making my visit memorable.
