New low in the parking wars. Received a parking ticket at 8:31am for an 8:30 street cleaning. I was walking up at that moment, 30 seconds too late and the cop, who tried to be nice about it (shockingly!) still gave me a ticket. GRRRRR.

They must have been waiting around the corner or something and of course I chose that day to sleep that extra 5 minutes.

Here’s an article about a man who forcibly had his 7 year old son tattooed with a gang sign. Of course, this is not something I would wish on anyone but the notable thing about the article was that the man was charged with 6 various charges one of which is “mayhem.”  I did not know that mayhem is considered an actual crime. I thought it was something pirates and teenagers mostly were accused of and mostly by cranky old men. I wonder what exactly that means and how it relates here. Anyone?

Speaking of pirates, what’s up with those Somalians raining on the parades of us dreamers?! I mean I always  hoped that some day I could be a pirate but I never really wanted to deal with the idea that to be a pirate you have to hurt people and stuff. I would really like to maintain my image of Johnny Depp and all his piratey hotness as being “what it takes.” They are just ruining everything.
