Does it make me a bad aunt because I think sometimes she looks like an ewok? Because she does. or a gremlin with her dark hair and huge coal eyes. She has those cute asian baby checks, that are so puffy, they hang below her chin it seems. I keep wanting to poke her face.
Becky and I gave her bath today and of course in the thirty seconds between when I took off her diaper and Becky was getting the water temperature just right, she chose that moment to go to the bathroom and she peed on me! little PUNK!

It seems she doubles in size every week I see her, although most of the change seems to be in the cheeks. Someone gave her these cute headbands which are for children 3 and up. It totally fits her now which decides it.
She has Tanya’s head.

Newborns are not known for being all that exciting. But, that has not stopped us from playing with her anyway. I think she’s been in the crib all of 10 minutes because we refuse to put her down. Tanya likes to try and put her feet or head in her mouth. She also likes to squish her cheeks together which Jaylee doesn’t really seem to like. It kind of brings on the raisin face.
Anyway, here’s a few nicknames that have come up thus far.
Peanut (of course)
the munchkin
elvis
that hairy thing (she has a gorilla back for sure, i think that came from Jordi but no one’s taking responsibility)
Never in my life have I been so enamored with something so….inactive. She’s basically a lump of flesh. More pictures of the blob soon enough…
When Becky was little, we used to feed her lemons just to watch her face squint up. It took her a while to catch on that she did in fact NOT like the lemons and learn not to take them from us. We were sad when the game was over.
I swear Jaylee makes the same faces. Her face squishes, her eyes become little puffy slits and her cheeks fold in. She makes variations of the raisin face a lot when she’s sleeping and a little restless(which is like whenever she’s not eating, she’s not the liveliest of creatures). It’s AWESOME.
Here’s a photo of her and I making raisin faces. Compared to her little-ness, I look like I have gorilla hands.

Just went in to see the baby. She’s beautiful…long and thin at 8lbs and 2oz. She has dark alert eyes and fuzzy black hair. Becky’s exhausted but fine.
Becky just sent me a text, “I’m pushing, send mom in.”
How bad could it possibly be if she’s texting in the middle? Modern pharmaceuticals are amazing.
SHE’S STARTING TO PUSH!!!
She’s at 6 cm. Soooo boring. Becky’s drugged up and numb from the waist down and still whining about the pain. Such a baby.
Danny’s here now and the nurses are giving us unapproving glances since there are more of us than them. There’s no one else in the hall so it’s not like there’s anyone else to bother. Nazi nurses! Tanya and I stole hospital bracelets so we can look like Becky.
