stealing her mama’s thunder…

It’s official. My still-watches-Hannah-Montana little sister is married. MARRIED. As in, will now begin to grow gray hairs. The day went perfectly and I will soon post photos. In the meantime, enjoy the below teaser of the real hit at the wedding who danced the night away to the entertainment of all guests.

(clarification: i mean the baby. who else would I talk about?)

random thoughts….

1. I saw this online today and I’m wondering if this is a better option for me than trying to get personal wireless installed whereever i live in South America. definitely more mobile and less red tape. and since it supports my belief in universal wireless, I’m a fan. Have I mentioned lately how excited I am to be heading south soon?

2. I am starting to think the pigeons have a personal vendetta against me. The first time one pooped on the doorhandle of my car could be coincidence but a second time two days later? I think they must have heard me when I said they were the “rats of the sky.”

3. and a little something more for you…How does that child not fall over from the sheer weight of that head, those ears and hair, bib, and everything else on top?

perhaps its in the water….

Short video of Jaylee in a monkey bouncer thing. She’s just figuring out how to bounce herself and what muscles move what limb. Then when she starts bouncing, it’s like she is surprised and gets so excited about it she can’t stop giggling. The favorite one (me) has yet to hear her giggle in person; Grandma is claiming that card and has yet to let me live it down. I swear that kid never comes through for me. The other day, we took her to the mall and I kindly asked her to start crying so Becky would let me take her out of the stroller but did she come through for me? NO. Not even a little whimper.

You might need a facebook account to see it. If so, come back in a day or two and I’ll put it up on my own server.

Peanut has gotten much more interactive in the last few weeks. She’s still trying to figure out how all the parts work and how to move this finger or that finger but she’s much more alert and active. She responds to you when you look at her and tries to talk back to you. Here’s a few photos taken just after waking up. She’s always in a good mood when she wakes up and when she opens her big eyes and sees you starring at her, she gets all smiley.

Becky’s been kind of cooped up in the house so I  demanded! generously offered to babysit. I will take any opportunity to get that child to myself.

The really think I’ve developed an addiction to her. I have to keep reminding myself that everyone else isn’t taking the same crazy pills as me and that they aren’t utterly convinced that she is the most perfect baby in the world. (It’s totally true and I’ll defend it to the end!) They don’t want to hear about how she learned how to suck on her fingers and not her whole hand now, isn’t she aMAZING?!!!!

BUT I DON’T CARE. My baby is perfect. I’m going to talk about her. And I’m going to post about her. So. Expect hordes and hordes of baby photos very soon.
